Thinking of Coming Back - How Are Things?

So, I was thinking of coming back and doing something I never really did before, PVP.  Is that viable as a new/returning and incredibly rusty player.
I never really got into the triple champs - never had the leet gear.
A million years ago on the original UO, i loved playing a stealth thief, but can't really do that here as I recall.  The only thing left is actual going red.
advice, thoughts?

UO Evolution is excited to announce we are celebrating a DECADE Online!

As many of you already know we are about to celebrate our 10th year online on the weekend of January 22nd-24th. We will have a big reunion with all of our old players.

Everyone is invited back to check out the progress and success of UO Evolution. I want to thank all the players for supporting this UO project over the years and making this a great community. We will be running special staff events and giving away many unique anniversary prizes and gifts over the weekend. Make sure you log in and refresh your accts, we will be planning IDOC and house drops/acct deletions over that weekend.  Start marking your IDOC spots now! We are very excited to see a record of 1015 players online this year and an avg of 600+ daily! The shard has prospered and has added new content every Friday, and the player base has at least doubled this year.

The game continues to "evolve" and it is absolutely better than the original game. Kane and the staff have made over 370+ shard content updates and we continue to run 10+ live events daily.
