Does the Lumberjacking bonus you get when using an axe cap out at 100 lumberjacking or is it beneficial to be over 100 LJ?

To translate the ultra tiny font...

You get a 10% damage bonus for GM Lumberjacking.

To add to the info though, I believe it also caps at GM lumberjacking for the damage bonus.  Anything extra only helps when actually our cutting trees down.

  The full scoop...

As far as I can tell the damage bonus comes in three possible variations.

  1. Lumber-Jacking Skill  (Damage Bonus)

  2. GM+ Bonus 1   (Pure Damage Bonus)

  3. GM+ Bonus 2  (Percentage Chance Bonus)

According to my source-- as long as the mechanics haven't been changed by staff-- dividing your Lumber-jacking skill by 5 = an initial damage bonus; when using the requisite axe type weapons.

 100 divided by 5 = a 20% [base] damage bonus (34% if 120)

On top of all this fun damage, a player automatically gets a 10% damage bonus at Grand Master lumberjacking, on top of the initial LJ bonus.

Finally, there is a 10% chance that a 100% damage bonus will trigger due to a player having Grand Master+ Lumber-jacking, and wielding the requisite axe type weapons.

  Keep this in mind...

---the 100% damage bonus will not stack with the two bonuses I mentioned before hand.
---all damage bonuses are applied to the requisite axe type weapon's base damage

    Example =  12- -15 damage

    at 100% = 24 to 30 + other damage bonus modifiers

    at 34% = 16.08(16) to 20.1(20) + other damage bonus modifiers

    at 40% = 16.8(17) to 21 + other damage bonus modifiers

  This is what I know...

It is what I believe until someone can show me otherwise...

I do not dispute I might be wrong...

I have a +40 Lumber Jacking Aug

Is there any advantage other then chopping trees if I am already at 120 LJ?

IF 100 divided by 5 = a 20% [base] damage bonus (30% if 120)     then does 160 divided by 5 = ?

@ Billtcat

According to the source I used the mechanics is as follows:  (while using an axe with 12- -15 damage and [Bill's] 160 lumberjacking skill)

  160  divided by 5 = 32% (base) bonus + 10% (GM +) bonus = 42% lumberjacking damage increase; or [17 to 21] damage.

--on top of all of that, though on a separate list of possibilities, Billtcat has a 10% chance to hit a creature for 100%

 Last but not least:

I have yet to test other damage modifiers/ bonuses, yet. This is mostly due to my computer getting sick and dying on me a month ago. Other life related things happened as well, which is why it took me awhile to get my PC fixed.  Keep the questions coming and I'll do my best to help track down the answer.
