Looking for opinions on best armour set  to go with a sampire setup using 1 handed triple leech axe and mirror shield?

An Astro Deamon set is a good start but Morsax, and Sera, just put out four new quests with a decent list of new armor tied to each quest... plus the future holds many wonderous things... especially both of them make more quests with great mid-level stuff.  Oh yeah! Dont forget about Kane... he makes stuff, too. So, keep an eye-- or two-- out for new gear on the horizon.

Astro Daemon set is nice to have. Can solo most peerlesses with sampire. Together with +20 swords hat and some mith dragon items you can start farming for Steelskin equipment that is a good warrior set.

Starting Point: Western part of Gargoyle city, Ilshenar

This quest starts in Gargoyle City in Ilshenar. Go to the crafting section of the city at the west and speak with Rakhon and follow his instructions. Receive a piece of enhanced steel armor in return for your heroic deeds.
There is also a special gargoyle named Ralph who forges armor for gargoyles.

Ahoy - I apologize for resurrecting this post, but I have a question about the Gargoyle version of the steelskin armor. Do you have to turn the feathers into Ralph or do you turn in the non-gargoyle armor into Ralph and he converts it to the Gargoyle version?

Got my answer. Looks like you have to turn the feathers into Ralph if you want the Gargoyle version.

I have the Astro set, +20 swords hat, 120 sword natural, 120 tactics natural, +27 swords in jewelry, and still get killed too often to effectively farm steel Harpies.  I'm using a triple leech hatchet for armor ignore and try to use honor and pull so I'm solo fighting.  What am I missing?

Someone suggested archery (composite bow) and disco, my music and disc is 115 and I can't disco these guys.

Thoughts?

Yeah, barding can be rough since almost everything of interest is at 160 difficulty. I remedy this a couple of ways. First, I always carry an exceptional instrument and all 6 super slayers. The super slayers provide 20% bonus to their respective types, and the exception provides 10%, which I use for monsters without a slayer type. I also carry a hare sash, minstrel talisman, the barding gloves with +5 to all bard skills, and +disco jewelry. If the monster is a tough target, I run away, throw my bard suit on, disco it and switch back to my fighting suit. The disco, once established, will stay active as long as you are not out of sight for ~15sec. Also, don't underestimate Provo, it shines in multiple areas. Provo wrecks ore elementals and bard mobs. Bard mobs are particularly fun, provo a bard mob and it will end up engaging everything in the area.

Additionally, I would suggest staying in Vampire's Embrace from the Necromancy book. This provides a ton of healing. Also get an auto-bandage routine set up. For this I use EasyUO, so that it doesn't interact with any of my Razor/UOSteam macros. Once you get it setup, you can leave it on 100% of the time, makes a lot of difference. Especially, if you get high anat/healing and ~165 dex for 4sec heals. If you need more healing, incorporate Curse Weapon from the Necromancy book as well.
